A new UK-based Carbon Removal Network will hold its launch meeting in London on the evening of 27 February 2019. The aim of the group is to bring together professionals who are interested in or already engaged in removing greenhouse gases from the atmosphere. Further information and free registration is available via Eventbrite. The launch event includes a talk and Q&A with Sven Janse from the Climate Cleanup Foundation. Mark Workman (Imperial College), co-founder and co-curator of the Network, commented: “This is an opportunity for a more participatory initiative with a collective understanding and shared mission to advance carbon removal in the UK, contributing to the worldwide pursuit of slowing, halting and reversing global warming on human-relevant timescales”.
