Greenhouse Gas Removal (GGR) is considered to be key for reaching net zero and halting climate change. But many of the techniques for removing greenhouse gases such as CO₂ from the atmosphere are unproven at large scale and may carry other risks.

This public panel discussion, taking place at the IET in London and online, will explore key questions around this new industry, including:

• How should Greenhouse Gas Removal be pursued?
• How can the public have a say as the UK scales up GGR?
• What are the potential benefits?
• How can people who are affected by GGR, such as farmers or local communities, be supported?
• And who should pay for it?

This interactive event will bring together an audience to discuss, debate and discover different viewpoints on GGR, with the aim of getting it right for both people and the planet.
